Trending on the Farm: Braden Montgomery annihilates Hot Rods pitching

Noah Schultz – MLB Pipeline White Sox #1
Noah Schultz had first inning command issues that saw him only throw four total innings in his most recent start for the Barons.
Kyle Teel – MLB Pipeline White Sox #2
Kyle Teel has continued his strong offensive play for the Knights in May, as he’s posted a .296/.387/.481 slash line (.868 OPS) with three extra base hits and six RBI in eight games.
Hagen Smith – MLB Pipeline White Sox #3
After a two start week and some inclement weather, Hagen Smith had a short but effective outing in Columbus.
Colson Montgomery – MLB Pipeline White Sox #6
After being sent to Arizona to work with Ryan Fuller, Colson Montgomery saw some game action with the ACL White Sox. Montgomery appeared in five games, got three hits, walked twice, and struck out four times. Given his struggles, Montgomery has now fallen off both Baseball America and MLB Pipeline‘s top 100 prospect lists.
Braden Montgomery – MLB Pipeline White Sox #4
Braden Montgomery torched Bowling Green pitching all last week, and is now up to a 1.242 OPS through his first 12 games with the Dash. Additionally, in six games last week, Montgomery walked twice and only struck out once.
Grant Taylor – MLB Pipeline White Sox #7
Grant Taylor has yet to issue a walk in any of his starts in the month of May (two starts, six innings).
Jairo Iriarte – MLB Pipeline White Sox #9
Jairo Iriarte has not pitched for the Knights in the last two weeks.
George Wolkow – MLB Pipeline White Sox #10
After a solid previous week, George Wolkow struggled at the plate against Carolina. Wolkow had three walks to nine strikeouts and has struggled to tap into his power so far this season, while stealing at a much higher and more successful rate (13-for-13).
Caleb Bonemer – MLB Pipeline White Sox #11
After a slow previous week, Caleb Bonemer got back on track at the plate, posting an .835 OPS while walking (four) as many times as he struck out and also went 3-for-3 on stolen bases.

Trending on the Farm: AAA (Charlotte)
Jason Matthews
28-year-old Jason Matthews had a very solid week in his return to AAA, slashing .429/.467/.786 for a 1.253 OPS. Matthews scored three runs, had a triple, home run, and two RBI in five games last week.
Corey Julks
29-year-old Corey Julks’ fantastic start with the Knights rolled on last week, batting .333/.478/.722 for a 1.200 OPS with five runs scored, one double, two home runs, six RBI, and was successful on his lone stolen base attempt. Through 32 games this season, Julks has a 1.031 OPS with 13 doubles, four home runs, and 16 RBI.
Dan Altavilla
32-year-old Dan Altavilla had two more solid and scoreless outings out of the Charlotte bullpen last week, throwing two total innings issuing one walk, struck out two, and picked up a save.
Chase Plymell
26-year-old Chase Plymell was perfect across two relief appearances for the Knights last week against Memphis. Plymell threw five total innings and struck out five.
Wikelman González – MLB Pipeline White Sox #17
23-year-old Wikelman González made two strong relief appearances for Charlotte last week. González threw four scoreless innings allowing one hit, one walk, and struck out three.
Tim Elko
26-year-old Tim Elko reached base seven times in two games (two singles, two doubles, three walks) before he was promoted and made his well deserved major league debut with the White Sox over the weekend.
Trending on the Farm: AA (Birmingham)
Ryan Galanie
24-year-old Ryan Galanie was torching Columbus pitching last week, slashing .500/.526/.944 for a 1.470 OPS with three runs scored, two doubles, two home runs, five RBI, and both walked and struck out once.
Jake Palisch
26-year-old Jake Palisch was unhittable in his first start since 2019.
Peyton Pallette
23-year-old Peyton Pallette notched another scoreless appearance out of the Barons bullpen, throwing two innings allowing just one hit while striking out four.
Shane Murphy
24-year-old southpaw Shane Murphy had a solid outing from the Birmingham bullpen last week, throwing four and one third innings allowing three hits, two runs (one earned), one walk, and struck out seven.
Garrett Schoenle
26-year-old lefty Garrett Schoenle made two scoreless relief appearances last week, allowing just one walk over two and two thirds innings while striking out four.
Trending on the Farm: A+ (Winston-Salem)
Arxy Hernández
21-year-old infielder Arxy Hernández hit .278/.316/.611 for a .927 OPS with two runs scored, one double, triple, home run, two RBI, and was successful on his lone stolen base attempt.
Tommy Vail
25-year-old Tommy Vail had two strong relief appearances against Bowling Green last week, hurling nine total innings allowing three hits, two runs (two earned), five walks, and struck out 12.
Connery Peters
For the second week in a row, 25-year-old righty Connery Peters made one perfect relief appearance, throwing two spotless innings while striking out four.
Frankeli Arias
22-year-old left-hander Frankeli Arias made one perfect appearance out of the Dash bullpen, throwing two and one third innings while striking out three.
Trending on the Farm: A (Kannapolis)
Christian Oppor – MLB Pipeline White Sox #18
20-year-old Christian Oppor had a solid outing for the Ballers, and after posting a 2.45 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, and 34 strikeouts in 22.1 innings for Kannapolis, Oppor has reportedly received a well-earned promotion to Winston-Salem.
Javier Mogollon – MLB Pipeline White Sox #25
19-year-old infielder Javier Mogollon only appeared in two games last week, but had three hits in seven at-bats, including a double and a triple while also scoring one run.
Justin Sinibaldi
23-year-old Justin Sinibaldi made two short starts last week for Kannapolis, one of which was cut short due to weather, but pitched well in both outings. In total, Sinibaldi pitched four scoreless innings allowing just two hits while striking out four.
Jack Young
23-year-old Jack Young made two scoreless appearances last week, pitching four innings allowing one hit, walked four, and struck out eight.
Trending on the Farm: Rookie (ACL)
Adrian Gil
19-year-old infielder Adrian Gil scored four runs, homered, drove in two, and went 4-for-4 on stolen bases in four games last week with the ACL White Sox.
Bryce Willits
25-year-old Bryce Willits hit .500/.667/.800 for a 1.467 OPS in five games last week, scoring two runs, had a double, triple, two RBI, five walks (two strikeouts), and was successful on his lone stolen base attempt.
Marcelo Alcala
19-year-old outfielder Marcelo Alcala had six hits last week, including a triple and a home run, en route to a .979 OPS in five games. Alcala also scored three runs and was 4-for-4 on stolen bases.
Albertson Asigen
23-year-old outfielder Albertson Asigen reached base six times (single, double, four walks) in three games last week.
Kevin Davis
26-year-old Kevin Davis had two scoreless appearances for the ACL White Sox last week, throwing three total innings allowing two hits, struck out one, and picked up a save.
Max Roberts
27-year-old Max Roberts had a perfect inning of work, striking out all three batters he faced in his lone outing last week.
