The Trending on the Farm series will highlight player trends from the top prospects in the White Sox system as well as any other notable performances across all active affiliates. Last week’s version is available here.

Noah Schultz – MLB Pipeline White Sox #1

Noah Schultz had a two start week for the Barons, and his first outing was his best. Chattanooga was able to touch him up some in his second outing, along with battling some command issues that saw his Sunday showing only last three and a third innings (five runs, all earned).

Kyle Teel – MLB Pipeline White Sox #2

While the power may not have been there last week for Kyle Teel, the 23-year-old catcher continued his solid run of hitting at the plate in Gwinnett, knocking five hits while walking twice in four games.

Hagen Smith – MLB Pipeline White Sox #3

Hagen Smith had his start skipped over last week in the hopes to give the 21-year-old southpaw some rest after his velocity dipped in his previous outing.

Colson Montgomery – MLB Pipeline White Sox #6

Returning to the Charlotte roster and lineup after an Arionza reset with White Sox Director of Hitting Ryan Fuller, Colson Montgomery had a very solid week against the Stripers. Montgomery reached base safely in at least once in all of his five games last week, and had multi-hit outings in two of those games as well. Additionally, Montgomery walked twice to four strikeouts, which was progress in the right direction on that front.

Braden Montgomery – MLB Pipeline White Sox #4

Braden Montgomery slowed down last week in Brooklyn, as the Dash offense struggled as a whole against the Cyclones pitching staff. Montgomery did manage to send two of his four hits on the week for extra bases while also walking four times (six strikeouts) in six games.

Grant Taylor – MLB Pipeline White Sox #7

Grant Taylor was shifted to the bullpen to help manage his workload and while that may not be an ideal move for his prospects in building up an innings base, the immediate results for the 22-year-old right-hander have been stellar in his first two relief appearances.

Jairo Iriarte – MLB Pipeline White Sox #9

According to the Charlotte Knights transactions page, Jairo Iriarte was assigned to the ACL White Sox last Monday (May 12), although he did not see any game action with the ACL squad.

George Wolkow – MLB Pipeline White Sox #10

George Wolkow broke out in a big way last week for the Cannon Ballers, homering three times while sending five of his seven hits on the week for extra bases in six games. Wolkow did strikeout 10 times (one walk), but nonetheless a promising step in the right direction for the towering 19-year-old outfielder.

Caleb Bonemer – MLB Pipeline White Sox #11

19-year-old Caleb Bonemer had a great week at the plate in five games last week against Hickory. Bonemer walked more (eight) than he struck out (six) while also sending two of his four hits on the week for extra bases.

Trending on the Farm: AAA (Charlotte)

Andre Lipcius

26-year-old Andre Lipcius hit .467/.529/.733 for a 1.262 OPS over four games last week. Lipcius scored four runs, hit four doubles, had two RBI, walked more (two) than he struck out (one), and was successful on his only stolen base attempt.

Dominic Fletcher

27-year-old Dominic Fletcher only had three hits last week, one of which cleared the fence. Fletcher walked five times (struck out twice), scored five runs, had three RBI, and was successful on his lone stolen base attempt en route to a .936 OPS over four games.

Dan Altavilla

32-year-old Dan Altavilla continued his great stretch as the closer for the Knights, hurling two and a third scoreless frames across three appearances allowing one hit, one walk, and struck out two and saved two games.

Knights Bullpen

Justin Anderson, Adisyn Coffey, James Karinchak, Penn Murfee, and Chris Rodriguez all pitched in scoreless efforts last week against Gwinnett, totaling 11.1 innings allowing three hits, three walks, and nine strikeouts.

Jason Matthews & Oscar Colás

28-year-old Jason Matthews put together a .958 OPS while scoring three runs, had three hits, three walks (three strikeouts), an RBI, and one stolen base in three games last week.

Oscar Colás had a .917 OPS while hitting two doubles, scored three runs, had four RBI, and was successful on his only stolen base attempt in three games last week.

Trending on the Farm: AA (Birmingham)

Ryan Galanie

24-year-old Ryan Galanie stayed hot for the Barons, slashing .333/.350/.556 for a .906 OPS with two runs scored, two doubles, one triple, and three RBI in five games against Chattanooga.

Jacob Gonzalez – MLB Pipeline White Sox #13

22-year-old Jacob Gonzalez led the Barons offense last week, hitting .333/.391/.524 for a .915 OPS with four runs scored, two doubles, one triple, and three RBI. It also appears that he’s using a torpedo bat.

Peyton Pallette

23-year-old Peyton Pallette continued his solid stretch anchoring the Barons bullpen, making three more scoreless appearances last week, issuing no hits, three walks, struck out four, and notched two saves.

Shane Murphy

24-year-old Shane Murphy has stepped into the Barons rotation and made an immediate impact. Murphy was able to build upon his previous outing by hurling six more scoreless innings against Chattanooga last week.

Riley Gowens

25-year-old Riley Gowens was outstanding against Chattanooga and Chase Burns last week.

Jake Palisch

26-year-old Jake Palisch has now notched two scoreless starts in back-to-back weeks after not starting a game since 2019.

Mario Camilletti

26-year-old Mario Camilletti posted an even .900 OPS over four games last week, scoring three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Zach Franklin

26-year-old right-hander Zach Franklin pitched two scoreless outings last week, allowing just one hit over three and a third innings while striking out two.

Trending on the Farm: A+ (Winston-Salem)

Lucas Gordon

23-year-old Lucas Gordon had another solid start, this time against Brooklyn. For the season, Gordon is now sporting a 2.72 ERA over eight starts, with a 1.01 WHIP and 45 strikeouts in 39.2 innings with the Dash this season.

Clete Hartzog

23-year-old Clete Hartzog made two scoreless appearances last week, allowing one hit while striking out two.

Jake Peppers

23-year-old Jake Peppers made two relief appearances for the Dash last week, allowing one hit, one run (earned), one walk, and struck out four over three total innings of work.

Trending on the Farm: A (Kannapolis)

Ryan Burrowes

20-year-old Ryan Burrowes had a strong week at the plate, slashing .263/.391/.579 for a .970 OPS over five games. Burrowes scored five runs, had two home runs, three RBI, walked four times (six strikeouts), and was a perfect 3-for-3 on stolen bases.

Jorge Corona

24-year-old catcher Jorge Corona had four hits in eight at-bats scoring a run and had one RBI in two games.

Jack Young

23-year-old Jack Young added another multi-inning scoreless appearance to the ledger last week, working three innings allowing just two hits.

Jonathan Clark

24-year-old righty Jonathan Clark made one scoreless appearance last week for the Cannon Ballers, throwing two total innings allowing one hit and struck out three.

Kevin Davis

26-year-old right-hander Kevin Davis had two more scoreless appearances last week for Kannapolis, throwing three innings allowing two walks and struck out four.

Trending on the Farm: Rookie (ACL)

Stiven Flores

19-year-old catcher Stiven Flores hit .385/.429/.923 for a 1.352 OPS with three runs scored, two doubles, one triple, one home run, four RBI, and walked once (did not strike out) over four games last week with the ACL White Sox.

T.J. McCants

23-year-old T.J. McCants slashed .400/.400/.533 for a .933 OPS with four runs scored, two doubles, and two RBI in four games last week.

Marco Barrios

18-year-old Marco Barrios made two scoreless appearances for the ACL White Sox last week, allowing just one hit while striking out one in two innings of work. The righty also picked up a save in the process.

Reudis Diaz

19-year-old right-hander Reudis Diaz made one strong relief outing for the ACL Sox last week, hurling three scoreless innings allowing one hit, one walk, and struck out one.

Mathias LaCombe

22-year-old Mathias LaCombe made one scoreless appearances last week, throwing two and two thirds innings allowing one hit, two walks, and struck out five.

Jordany Chirinos

19-year-old righty Jordany Chirinos had a strong start for the ACL White Sox last week. In five innings Chirinos allowed five hits, one run (earned), no walks, and struck out seven.
