Noah Schultz
After enduring a clunker in his previous outing, Noah Schultz returned to form in his latest start. Schultz threw a season and professional high of four innings with 68% of his pitches (34/50) going for strikes.
Peyton Pallette
Peyton Pallette was strong in his outing against Delmarva. The only blemish was a solo home run, but Pallette threw 67% of his pitches for strikes and didn’t permit a walk for the first time since his June 30th start.
Bryan Ramos & Norge Vera
Bryan Ramos was placed on the seven day injured list with a minor injury, but returned to action Tuesday evening.
Norge Vera made a rehab start with the ACL White Sox, getting an inning of work in for the first time since being placed on the injured list back on April 21st.
Colson Montgomery
Colson Montgomery saw the strikeouts (eight) tick up last week against Greensboro, but still managed to get on base at a nice clip with a couple of extra base hits in his last week for the Dash.
Jonathan Cannon
Jonathan Cannon struggled mightily for the Barons, allowing too much contact and too many free passes against a tough Biloxi lineup.
José Rodríguez
José Rodríguez only appeared in one game last week.
Lenyn Sosa
Lenyn Sosa struck out nine times, but did manage three extra base hits as a tough stretch to begin the second half continues.
Cristian Mena
Cristian Mena had a decent outing against Biloxi, but is still allowing too many baserunners to reach, as he’s now allowed 21 baserunners to reach over his last 17.1 innings pitched.

AAA (CharlottE)
Clint Frazier & Erik González
Clint Frazier swung a hot bat for the Knights, batting .300/.500/.650 for a 1.150 OPS with three extra base hits (double, two home runs) and stole a base.
Erik González also had a nice week at the plate, slashing .438/.471/.563 for a 1.034 OPS with two doubles and seven hits in 16 at-bats.
Alejandro Mateo
29 year old Alejandro Mateo pitched well in his lone relief appearance of the week, throwing two and a third innings, allowed one hit, and struck out four.
AA (birmingham)
Jason Matthews
26 year old infielder Jason Matthews displayed some power for the Barons last week, as both of his hits left the park en route to a 1.073 OPS across four games played.
Gil Luna
Recently turned 24 year old southpaw Gil Luna was good in his lone relief appearance, throwing a scoreless inning of work with two strikeouts.
A+ (Winston-Salem)
Tim Elko
24 year old hulking first baseman Tim Elko crushed Greensboro pitching last week. Elko slashed .462/.481/.846 for a cool 1.327 OPS, knocked six extra base hits (four doubles, two home runs), and had 12 hits in 26 at-bats.
Michael Turner
24 year old catcher Michael Turner continues his torrid pace of getting on base, as he appeared in four games last week, walked five times (struck out just once), and even homered to end the week with a .971 OPS.
Josimar Cousin
25 year old right hander Josimar Cousin had a two start week and was fantastic in both of his outings. Cumulatively, Cousin threw 10 innings, allowed four hits, two runs (one earned), walked two, and struck out nine.
A (Kannapolis)
Brooks Baldwin
22 year old infielder Brooks Baldwin was outstanding against the Shorebirds last week. Baldwin batted .474/.545/.947 for a ridiculous 1.492 OPS with five extra base hits (three doubles, two home runs), and had nine hits in 19 at-bats.
Chris Lanzilli
25 year old outfielder Chris Lanzilli tried keeping pace with Baldwin, batting .368/.455/.737 for an 1.192 OPS with three extra base hits (double, two home runs) and eight RBI.
Oriel Castro
22 year old southpaw Oriel Castro had a strong relief appearance for the Ballers. Castro pitched two scoreless innings, walked one, and struck out three.
Billy Seidl
23 year old righty Billy Seidl made three scoreless appearances last week, allowed three hits (one in each outing), recorded two saves, and struck out four.
ROOKIE (ACL & DSL)
Ronny Hernandez & Chase Krogman
18 year old catcher Ronny Hernandez had a nice week for the ACL White Sox, slashing .400/.500/.600 with a 1.100 OPS and two doubles in three games.
22 year old southpaw Chase Krogman threw the ball well in limited action. In two appearances, Krogman threw one and two thirds scoreless innings, struck out four, and recorded a save.
Daniel González & Ricardo Brizuela
21 year old lefthander Daniel González pitched well in both of his outings for the ACL White Sox. González threw three and a third total scoreless innings, allowed one walk, struck out four, and recorded one save.
20 year old right hander Ricardo Brizuela had another solid start with the ACL White Sox. Brizuela threw five innings, allowed four hits, one run (earned), and struck out four.
Stiven Flores
17 year old catcher Stiven Flores had another nice week for the DSL White Sox. Flores had a 1.115 OPS in three games and even started in the DSL All-Star game.
Adrian Gil
Adrian Gil swung a hot bat for the DSL White Sox. The 17 year old infielder slashed .545/.643/.636 for a 1.279 OPS with a double, six hits in 11 at-bats, and five RBI in three games.
Luis Reyes
17 year old righty Luis Reyes was excellent in his two scoreless innings of work for the DSL White Sox. Reyes didn’t allow any hits or walks while striking out four.
Why is Tim Elko in High A if he is 24 years old? Is he a non-prospect with a big flaw that won’t play in AA?
There is some swing and miss in his game, 29.7 K% in Kannapolis, but he’s reduced that to a 23 K% with Winston. I think Winston could be a short stay if he keeps up with that K% reduction and continues to mash with his *current* 160 wRC+. TBH I was surprised that he began the year in Kanny to start.
