Colson Montgomery

21 year old shortstop Colson Montgomery is beginning to settle in against AFL competition. Montgomery had another productive week at the plate with two more extra base hits. He was lifted from Friday’s game early for a pinch runner, so that’ll be something to monitor in this week’s slate of games.

Bryan Ramos

Per new White Sox Assistant GM Josh Barfield on the White Sox Talk Podcast, Bryan Ramos was a bit nicked up heading into last week. Ramos didn’t see game action until Friday, but immediately made his presence felt in a big way, going 4-5 with a home run in his return to the lineup. The 21 year old was back to driving the ball with authority, which is always a pleasant sight to see from the young third baseman.

Jacob Burke

Jacob Burke has also been holding his own against AFL competition. The 22 year old outfielder had another above average week at the plate, as well as in the field and base paths, making a nice sliding catch in center field as well as causing chaos on the dirt for the opponents.

Jake Eder

While the 25 year old southpaw’s line doesn’t jump out at you from his most recent start, Eder has proven effective in AFL. The walks need to come down, but if the MLB Gameday images are to be believed, it would appear that Eder did get squeezed on some calls that would’ve made his line look much more appealing.

Jordan Leasure

25 year old Jordan Leasure continues to impress, as he notches two more scoreless (and hitless) appearances to his AFL belt. Listen to Leasure discuss his season as well as his experience in the Arizona Fall League here.

Fraser Ellard

25 year old southpaw Fraser Ellard rebounded after a tough outing in the previous week. Ellard made two scoreless appearances, notching two strikeouts in each appearance.

Josimar Cousin

25 year old right hander Josimar Cousin had a rough go at it from the jump, allowing three extra base hits (two home runs) in his two innings of work against Salt River.

Adisyn Coffey

24 year old right hander Adisyn Coffey made one appearance last week and it began well, as he struck out two of three batters and retired them in order. The problems arose when Coffey came out for his second inning of work against Salt River, where hits and walks began to pile up, ultimately chasing him from the game with five runs crossing the plate in the meantime.
