Trending on the Farm: Braden Montgomery and Hagen Smith propel Knights to sweep

The Trending on the Farm series will highlight player trends from the top prospects in the White Sox system as well as any other notable performances across all active affiliates. Last week’s version can be found here.

Caleb Bonemer – MLB Pipeline White Sox #1
In the previous week Caleb Bonemer displayed some signs that the slump he was mired in at the plate was nearing an end. Last week furthered that assertion, as Bonemer had an excellent offensive performance against Hub City.

Braden Montgomery – MLB Pipeline White Sox #2
Braden Montgomery was able to build off his huge previous series with another fantastic performance against Durham. Montgomery also walked as much as he struck out (seven) in the Knights’ six game sweep of the Bulls.

Hagen Smith – MLB Pipeline White Sox #4
Hagen Smith had a two start week and was a one man wrecking crew against the Durham lineup. Smith struck out nine in both of his starts last week. Highlights of his Sunday start can be found here.
Javier Mogollon – MLB Pipeline White Sox #12
Javier Mogollon has been in a rough patch at the plate over the last few series.
Christian Oppor – MLB Pipeline White Sox #8
Christian Oppor made an appearance for the ACL White Sox and the control issues persisted in that outing as well, walking five in two innings pitched.
Mason Adams – MLB Pipeline White Sox #11
Mason Adams’ rehab assignment continued with the Dash last week, as it was an abbreviated two start week for Adams. Highlights of his second outing can be found here.

Jaden Fauske – MLB Pipeline White Sox #7
Jaden Fauske had a tough series against Hickory, managing two hits and one walk in five games.
Tanner McDougal – MLB Pipeline White Sox #6
Recently Tanner McDougal has picked up throwing again and is aiming to return to game action by the end of the month.

Trending on the Farm: AAA (Charlotte)
Michael Turner
27-year-old Michael Turner batted .478/.500/.565 with a 1.065 OPS over five games. Turner scored four runs, doubled twice, had nine RBI, and was caught stealing in his lone attempt last week.
Ryan Galanie
25-year-old Ryan Galanie hit .313/.333/.688 for a 1.021 OPS in four games last week. Galanie scored two runs, hit three doubles, one home run, and five RBI.

Caden Connor
25-year-old Caden Connor posted a .263/.417/.579 slash line with a .996 OPS over five games. Connor scored four runs, had three doubles, one home run, seven RBI, walked as much as he struck out (four), and was successful on his only stolen base attempt.
Dustin Harris
26-year-old Dustin Harris slashed .400/.458/.550 for a 1.008 OPS in five games against Durham. Harris scored five runs, hit three doubles, and drove in five.
Dru Baker
26-year-old Dru Baker hit .333/.368/.556 for a .924 OPS over four games, scoring four runs with a double, home run, and three RBI.
Everson Pereira
25-year-old Everson Pereira began a rehab assignment with the Knights and had two hits, including a home run, in two games played.
Adisyn Coffey
27-year-old right-hander Adisyn Coffey made two scoreless relief appearances last week, throwing four and two thirds innings allowing one hit, two walks, and struck out seven.
Riley Gowens
26-year-old righty Riley Gowens made one scoreless appearance, pitching three innings allowing one hit with three punchouts.
Peyton Pallette
25-year-old right-hander Peyton Pallette returned to the organization and made an impactful return with the Knights. Pallette made three shutout appearances, pitching three and a third innings allowing one hit, three walks, and struck out four.
Ben Peoples
25-year-old righty Ben Peoples made three scoreless appearances against Durham, throwing three and a third nearly perfect innings, issuing just one walk and struck out five.
Garrett Schoenle
27-year-old left-hander Garrett Schoenle made three appearances last week, hurling four and two thirds innings allowing three hits, one run (earned), two walks, and struck out seven.
Chase Plymell
28-year-old right-hander Chase Plymell made two appearances last week, pitching three and two thirds innings allowing four hits, one run (earned), one walk, and struck out four.

Anthony DePino
23-year-old Anthony DePino hit .278/.481/.444 for a .925 OPS in six games in Knoxville last week. DePino scored three runs, homered once, drove in three, and walked eight times to four strikeouts.
Dylan Cumming
27-year-old Dylan Cumming hurled a fantastic start against the Smokies.
Nick Altermatt
26-year-old righty Nick Altermatt made one scoreless appearance for the Barons, hurling two innings with one hit allowed, one walk, and four strikeouts.
Carson Jacobs
24-year-old right-hander Carson Jacobs made two shutout appearances for the Barons, working three innings allowing one hit, one walk, and struck out six.
Jackson Kelley
26-year-old righty Jackson Kelley appeared in two games last week, pitching four innings allowing three hits, one unearned run, three walks, and struck out two.
Jarold Rosado
23-year-old right-hander Jarold Rosado made one perfect appearance last week, striking out two in his lone inning of work.

Kaleb Freeman & Bryce Eblin
23-year-old Kaleb Freeman slashed .300/.588/.500 for a 1.088 OPS in four games. Freeman scored two runs, hit two doubles, and walked more (six) than he struck out (five).
24-year-old Bryce Eblin appeared in two games and notched two hits, both of which were home runs. Eblin also scored two runs, had three RBI, and both walked and struck out once.
Boston Smith
23-year-old Boston Smith slashed .294/.429/.588 for a 1.017 OPS in five games against Hub City last week. Smith scored two runs, hit a triple, home run, had two RBI, walked and struck out four times, and was caught stealing once.
Justin Sinibaldi
24-year-old Justin Sinibaldi had another strong outing for the Dash in his latest start.
Liam Paddack
22-year-old Liam Paddack was once again fantastic for the Dash in a starting role, and has struck out eight in back-to-back starts, both of which went four innings.
Mathias LaCombe – MLB Pipeline White Sox #16
23-year-old righty Mathias LaCombe made two appearances for the Dash last week, pitching three innings allowing four hits, one run (earned), one walk, and struck out five.

25-year-old righty Drew McDaniel had a nice start for the Dash in his latest outing.
Jake Bockenstedt
26-year-old right-hander Jake Bockenstedt made two shutout appearances last week, allowing one hit and struck out two in an inning and two thirds.
Drew Conover
24-year-old right-hander Drew Conover made two scoreless appearances, pitching two innings allowing two hits.
Jack Young
24-year-old right-hander Jack Young made three scoreless appearances last week, pitching five total innings allowing three hits, notched two strikeouts and one save.

James Taussig

Recently turned 23-year-old Caedmon Parker had a solid outing for the Cannon Ballers.
Marco Barrios
20-year-old right-hander Marco Barrios made two shutout appearances last week, pitching two innings allowing three hits and struck out three.

26-year-old southpaw Jordan Morales struck out three in an inning and a third with one hit allowed in his lone appearance last week.

23-year-old right-hander Nick Weyrich pitched three scoreless innings allowing two hits with one strikeout over two appearances.
Landen Payne
23-year-old righty Landen Payne pitched four innings in two appearances, allowing four hits, two walks, struck out five, and was 2-for-2 on saves.

Yordani Soto
17-year-old Yordani Soto batted .571/.625/1.143 for a 1.768 OPS in three games last week. Soto scored three runs, had a double, home run, two RBI, and was 2-for-3 on stolen bases.
Nick McLain
23-year-old Nick McLain is rehabbing in the ACL and had a strong week, batting .455/.538/.636 for a 1.174 OPS in four games, scoring two runs with two doubles and one RBI.
Jurdrick Profar

17-year-old Ronald Cardozo posted a 1.214 OPS in four games last week, scoring four runs with a double, two RBI, and walked six times (one strikeout).
Sebastian Romero
17-year-old Sebastian Romero hit .353/.429/.706 for an 1.135 OPS in five games last week. Romero scored six runs, hit two home runs, and had five RBI.
