Trending on the Farm: Caleb Bonemer sizzling in Montgomery, Sebastian Romero excellent again in the DSL

The Trending on the Farm series will highlight player trends from the top prospects in the White Sox system as well as any other notable performances across all active affiliates. Last week’s version can be found here.

Caleb Bonemer – MLB Pipeline White Sox #1
Caleb Bonemer had an excellent week in Montgomery, sending four of his six hits for extra bases in five games of action.

Hagen Smith – MLB Pipeline White Sox #2
Hagen Smith was activated off the injured list on Sunday and saw some action in relief.

Tanner McDougal – MLB Pipeline White Sox #4
Tanner McDougal made three total relief appearances last week, including back-to-back appearances.

Christian Oppor – MLB Pipeline White Sox #21
Christian Oppor was sent to Winston-Salem after an extended run in the ACL, and the results remained consistent in what has been an extremely tough year for the southpaw.

Jaden Fauske – MLB Pipeline White Sox #5
Jaden Fauske walked as much as he struck out (four times) in six games played last week.

David Sandlin – MLB Pipeline White Sox #7
David Sandlin pitched solidly in his four innings of work.
William Bergolla Jr. – MLB Pipeline White Sox #6
William Bergolla was sent to the ACL to begin a rehab assignment, and in a rather unfortunate outcome, suffered a stress fracture.

Mason Adams – MLB Pipeline White Sox #8
After some tough outings, Mason Adams rebounded for five shutout frames against Norfolk.

Javier Mogollon – MLB Pipeline White Sox #9
Javier Mogollon knocked two doubles last week in Columbia, but is set to be promoted to Winston-Salem.

Recently turned 29-year-old Andy Weber hit .421/.450/1.000 for a 1.450 OPS in six games, scoring five runs with two doubles, three home runs, eight RBI, and was successful on his lone stolen base attempt.
Rikuu Nishida – MLB Pipeline White Sox #24
25-year-old Rikuu Nishida slashed .455/.625/.455 for a 1.080 OPS in four games, scoring a run with an RBI, five walks (one strikeout), and was 1-for-2 on stolen bases.
Korey Lee
Freshly turned 28-year-old Korey Lee posted a 1.077 OPS in three games last week, scoring three runs with a double, home run, three RBI, and was 1-for-1 on stolen bases.
