Trending on the Farm: Boston Smith outstanding in AA debut, Shane Smith & Tanner McDougal begin rehab assignments

The Trending on the Farm series will highlight player trends from the top prospects in the White Sox system as well as any other notable performances across all active affiliates. Last week’s version can be found here.

Caleb Bonemer – MLB Pipeline White Sox #1
Caleb Bonemer continued his strong start in AA, homering twice on July 4th and is one of three players 20-years-old or younger with 20+ home runs this season.

Tanner McDougal – MLB Pipeline White Sox #5
Tanner McDougal made his first rehab appearances last week with Winston-Salem after missing nearly two months of action.

Christian Oppor – MLB Pipeline White Sox #7
Christian Oppor is having a nightmarish first half of the 2026 campaign, as the walks continue to pile up down in the desert.

Jaden Fauske – MLB Pipeline White Sox #6
Jaden Fauske was a menace on the basepaths against Wilson, going 5-for-5 on stolen bases in the series.

David Sandlin – MLB Pipeline White Sox #16
David Sandlin put together a 3R 6 inning Quality Start in Memphis for the Knights last week.
William Bergolla Jr. – MLB Pipeline White Sox #9
William Bergolla Jr. has been on the injured list since March 27, but appears to be ramping up his baseball activities.
Mason Adams – MLB Pipeline White Sox #10
Mason Adams had the two start week for the Knights, and it truly was a tale of two starts for the 26-year-old. Adams was his typical self in the second outing, but footage of the first start can be found here.

Trending on the Farm: AAA (Charlotte)
Caden Connor
25-year-old Caden Connor hit .421/.500/.526 for a 1.026 OPS in five games. Connor scored two runs with two doubles, three walks and three strikeouts, and was caught stealing.
Dustin Harris
26-year-old Dustin Harris posted an 1.834 OPS in two games last week with two runs scored, a double, home run, two RBI, three walks (one strikeout), and a stolen bases before excercising his release clause.
Jonathan Cannon
25-year-old Jonathan Cannon was magnificent against the Redbirds, hurling six shutout frames.
Tyler Davis
27-year-old lef-hander Tyler Davis made two scoreless appearances last week, pitching two and two thirds innings issuing two walks with three strikeouts.
Duncan Davitt – MLB Pipeline White Sox #30
26-year-old right-hander Duncan Davitt made one multi-inning appearance, hurling three innings with a hit allowed, one walk, and struck out two.
Zach Franklin
27-year-old righty Zach Franklin was excellent in his lone multi-inning appearance last week, pitching two and two thirds innings allowing one hit, one walk, and struck out five.
Garrett Schoenle
28-year-old left-hander Garrett Schoenle pitched two and a third scoreless frames issuing just one walk while striking out three in his lone appearance last week.
Chase Plymell
28-year-old right-hander Chase Plymell allowed one hit in two innings of work in his lone outing last week, striking out one batter.
Trending on the Farm: AA (Birmingham)
Boston Smith
23-year-old Boston Smith made his Barons debut in a grand way, slashing .333/.467/.833 for a 1.300 OPS over four games. Smith scored four runs, hit two home runs, had five RBI, had both three walks and strikeouts, and was caught stealing on his only attempt.
Colby Shelton
23-year-old Colby Shelton was fantastic last week, slashing .333/.455/.778 for a 1.233 OPS in six games. Shelton scored six runs, had two doubles, two home runs, three RBI, more walks (four) than strikeouts (two), and was 1-for-2 on stolen bases.

Samuel Zavala
21-year-old Samuel Zavala hit .313/.353/.563 for a .916 OPS in five games, scoring two runs with a double, home run, and three RBI.

Dylan Cumming
27-year-old Dylan Cumming continues his stellar run of starts for the Barons, hurling six more scoreless frames in his latest outing against Montgomery.
Jorge Corona
25-year-old Jorge Corona posted a 1.250 OPS in two games, scoring two runs with a double, home run, and three RBI.
Jonathan Clark
26-year-old right-hander Jonathan Clark made two shutout appearances last week, pitching three innings allowing four hits and five strikeouts.
Nick Altermatt
26-year-old righty Nick Altermatt twirled two scoreless appearances last week, pitching two and two thirds innings allowing three hits with five strikeouts.
Carson Jacobs

James Taussig
23-year-old James Taussig slashed .333/.385/.708 in six games last week, scoring four runs with three doubles, two home runs, and eight RBI.
Max Banks
23-year-old Max Banks shoved against Greenville, twirling seven shutout frames.
Drew McDaniel
25-year-old Drew McDaniel was a strikeout machine for the Dash on Sunday.
Shane Smith
26-year-old Shane Smith made his first rehab appearance with the Dash, tossing two shutout innings.

Mathias LaCombe – MLB Pipeline White Sox #16
24-year-old Mathias LaCombe made two appearances last week, pitching two and a third innings allowing one hit, one unearned run, and both walked and struck out two.

Eddie Park
24-year-old Eddie Park has been bouncing around affiliates since returning from injury, but had a 1.524 OPS in two games with the Dash, including two doubles with a run scored, an RBI, two walks and one strikeout, and was successful on his only stolen base attempt.
Kyle Lodise – MLB Pipeline White Sox #8
22-year-old Kyle Lodise only appeared in one game for the Dash last week but made the most of it, doubling and driving in two while walking three times (one strikeout).
Jake Bockenstedt
26-year-old right-hander Jake Bockenstedt made one perfect multi-inning appearance, pitching two innings with two strikeouts.
Jake Curtis
24-year-old right-hander Jake Curtis made two shutout appearances, throwing two and two thirds innings allowing one hit, one walk, and struck out three.
Trey Cooper
23-year-old lefty Trey Cooper made two perfect appearances last week, hurling two and a third innings striking out three.
Jack Young
24-year-old right-hander Jack Young hurled two scoreless appearances last week, pitching two innings allowing one hit and struck out two.

Christian Gonzalez
19-year-old Christian Gonzalez was outstanding against the Warbirds, slashing .333/.522/.600 for an 1.122 OPS in five games. Gonzalez scored seven runs, doubled, homered, had three RBI, walked seven times (three strikeouts), and was successful on his only stolen base attempt.
Jurdrick Profar
19-year-old Jurdrick Profar hit .313/.389/.688 for a 1.077 OPS in four games, scoring a run with a double, triple, home run, and five RBI.
Nick McLain
23-year-old Nick McLain slashed .313/.500/.500 for an even 1.000 OPS in five games, scoring four runs with a home run, two RBI, more walks (six) than strikeouts (four), and was successful on his lone stolen base attempt.
Alexander Martinez
23-year-old Alexander Martinez had a two start week for the Cannon Ballers and pitched well in each outing. In total, the right-hander hurled eight innings allowing two hits, two runs (one earned), walked two, and struck out 12. Highlights from his first start of the week can be found here.
Caedmon Parker
23-year-old Caedmon Parker hurled another solid outing for the Ballers, his second in a row.
Steven Lancia
23-year-old Steven Lancia appeared in two games, posting an 1.111 OPS with two runs scored, a triple, five RBI, and one stolen base in one try.
Jordan Morales
26-year-old left-hander Jordan Morales pitched two scoreless outings, totaling three innings with one hit allowed, one walk, and four strikeouts.
Landen Payne
23-year-old right-hander Landen Payne had two shutout relief appearances, pitching two innings while allowing one hit, one walk, struck out three, and locked down one save.
Jesús Mendez
21-year-old righty Jesús Mendez was nearly unhittable across three scoreless relief appearances. Mendez pitched four and a third innings allowing just one hit while striking out five.
Marco Barrios
20-year-old right-hander Marco Barrios made two appearances last week, throwing two and a third innings allowing two hits, one unearned run, with two punchouts.
Anthony Patterson
25-year-old righty Anthony Patterson pitched three and one third innings across two appearances last week, allowing four hits, two runs (both unearned), and struck out three.
Blaine Wynk
22-year-old right-hander Blaine Wynk continued his strong run of multi-inning relief work, adding on three more scoreless frames to his docket last week. Wynk allowed one hit and struck out three.

20-year-old D’Angelo Tejada batted .385/.429/.923 for a 1.352 OPS in five games last week, scoring five runs with a double, two home runs, three RBI, both one walk and strikeout, and was 1-for-2 on stolen bases.
Jefrank Silva
18-year-old Jefrank Silva slashed .273/.385/.545 for a .930 OPS with three runs scored, a home run, one RBI, and was caught stealing on his only attempt in five games.
Dylan Carmouche
24-year-old left-hander Dylan Carmouche pitched three scoreless frames in his lone appearance last week, both walking and striking out two batters.
Felix Doroteo
21-year-old right-hander Felix Doroteo made two perfect appearances last week, pitching three total innings with three strikeouts.
Cesar Nunez
19-year-old left-hander Cesar Nunez struck out one in his lone appearance last week, hurling one perfect inning.
Reinder Gomez
